Utilisation du futur simple

Future can indicate:

1) an action that will happen, we are sure

Je vais aller à la mairie pour me faire une carte d'identité, ils sauront me renseigner.

We are sure to have an answer.

Remark: aller followed by its own infinitive is the near future (futur proche): je vais aller.

2) an order

Pendant que je fais le ménage, tu feras la vaisselle.

"Tu feras" means "fais" and it is an order.
